The voters and electors of the Town of Washington are hereby warned that the Annual Town Budget Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Bryan Memorial Town Hall, Washington Depot, Connecticut to consider and act upon the following:
1. To consider and act upon the proposed General Fund Expenses and Transfers for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
2. To consider and act upon the proposed Nonrecurring Capital Expenses for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
3. To consider and act upon an appropriation of an additional Nonrecurring Capital Expense of $600,000 for road repair and reconstruction.
4. To establish an Ordinance to change the term of the First Selectman, Board of Selectmen, Tax Collector and Treasurer from two years to four years.

The Washington Democratic and Republican Town Committees are sponsoring a forum
for the seven candidates nominated for four seats on the Region 12 Board of Education7:30pm, Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Washington Town Hall.
Town Hall will open at 7:00pm for submission of written questions.
After opening remarks Moderator Hank Martin will pose 2 predetermined questions
